One day Denise and I travelled by train the Watford Junction to Warner Bros Studios to see the movies sets from the Harry Potter series.

The tour was self guided, so you could take your time going thru at your own speed. On display were the sets used to film the movies, models, costumes, engineering drawings, and the model of Hogwarts.

What an incredible experience. All this was so cool, but what I did not expect was the details, a couple images shows the huge amount of collateral material that was produced. All the sets were stone and the floors were stone.

The Hogwarts Castle was used for fly by shots. The model had a bland color so CGI effects were added for sun, wind and rain or show.

The wand shop was last on the tour which opened into, guess ... the gift shop. Anyway all those boxes and a wand in them.
