This past weekend a few friends and I went to explore the Okefenokee Swamp at Steven C. Foster State Park. The intrigue of the dark sky, wildlife drew us to want to explore the swamp. We left early on Friday morning arriving at the park around 4:00 pm. Broke up the trip by stopping to shoot various places and lunch and shopping for groceries.
Saturday we rental a couple boats to explore a part of the river. Saw some birds and alligator or three. Hiked in the swamp and cooked some delicious hot dogs and sat around a campfire.
Sunday, we slowly broke camp and headed home. Shot some depots on the way back and stopped at High Falls State Park. Dropped off Ben and headed to Flowery Branch to a wagging tail.
Great time with friends and we got in some time to shoot some photographs.
On to the next adventure ...
